What could top NASA finding water on Mars or the Supermoon Lunar Eclipse? We'll admit it, not much could. But we have some of our own big news to celebrate this week. October 1st marks the one-year anniversary of Uma Temakeria and we couldn't be more thrilled about the direction we are headed in.
Bringing the late-night temakeria concept from the beaches of Rio de Janeiro to the concrete jungle of New York City has been an incredible adventure that's spanned across two continents. Uma Temakeria was originally built on the delicious snack Temaki, or hand-rolled sushi; it's a creation that combines multiple worlds—the fierce passion of Brazil with the amazing culinary tradition of Japan.
From there, Uma's menu has expanded to introduce the very first sushi burrito to NYC. Though the menu has changed to include other amazing items and products like wild-caught shrimp, the core values of Uma Temakeria have stayed the same. This means that our dedication to only using sustainable seafood has remained a central part of our mission.

Thank you all for being a part of this amazing journey.
P.S. We'd love to celebrate with you! Come in from now until October 14th and enjoy a free chocolate or green tea mochi with any $10 or more purchase.
