Uma's Top 5 NYFW Designers

It's that time of year again in the city. Summer whites are folded up, but we can still dream about perpetual warm days and restocking our wardrobes for next year with New York Fashion Week. Everyone has their favorites, and here at Uma, so do we. Here are our top 5 picks for this year.

Public School

It's back to basics with Public School—but that doesn't stop this brand from using top of the line fabrics, sourced from the best mills around the world, like in Japan and Italy. We love their careful attention to high quality and commitment to producing everything right here in New York City. It's a multicultural blend that's created in one of the greatest cities in the world—much like her at Uma.

This bohemian, 70s-inspired, line reminds of us Brazilian nights on the beach in Rio. Check out the rest of the collection here

Mara Hoffman

Drawing from cultures around the world (much like Uma!), we love Mara Hoffman's use of exotic prints and splashes of color. Transports us on an adventure across the globe. See the beautiful collection here.

Sally LaPointe

Pairing a gorgeous minimal look and an elegant edge, Sally LaPointe brings an incredible aesthetic to the runway. We can't wait for her show on Friday!

Jeremy Scott

And here's a curveball. Sometimes we all need to let loose and have fun. And Jeremy Scott's work does just that. He's developed quite the repetition over the years, from his collaboration with Adidas and eccentric use of cultural symbols in his line.

Hungry for a snack in between shows? Stop by Uma Temakeria and get a chirashi rice bowl & sushi burrito to go.
